Kay Clarity is a singer, writer, and composer originally from Saskatoon, Canada. Her work is driven by a passion for beauty, as well as a firm desire to artistically express unity of being throughout her work in a continually fragmenting time, resisting the pressures of the market.

Since an early start as a teen on Canadian Idol’s Top 100, followed by grants, international performance opportunities, and a UK record label deal, she has worked professionally in the entertainment industry and as a teacher, speaker, and artistic entrepreneur. She has an MA degree in classic texts and is a doctoral candidate.

She has recorded and released 6 albums of music and many singles, working both independently and with veteran industry producers, DJs, filmmakers, dancers, and fellow entertainers. She has performed, written, and recorded across Canada, throughout Europe, and around the US. Her contemplative, liturgical project, CASSIA & MYRRH, has garnered international attention, a committed fanbase, a partnership with a global app, and has reached millions of listeners. Her essays on art and culture, with an emphasis on both beauty and pop culture, have been seen in a variety of publications.

She currently shares her artistic work on various streaming platforms and at kayclarity.art and is working on a focused body of work encompassing all of her projects, exploring themes of place, artistic lineage, cultural memory, and unified expression. She resides in Los Angeles, CA.
