About the Artist

Terrence Keller (1947-2015), was a remarkable and renowned modernist painter whose work emerged as truly singular within and beyond the Canadian art ecosystem. Coined by the Canadian Encylopedia as "one of the finest painters of his generation," his work communicates, especially to any sensitive heart and mind, a depth, beauty, and poetry that transcends the standard demarcations between abstract and realist painting. 

A great man of both suffering and joy, his work became a stunning expression of his inner world, where his love affair with the color and texture of paint drew him daily to his studio in Edmonton, Alberta, even in the bitter cold of Canadian prairie winters.

He was also my uncle: kind, generous, and strong, despite lifelong pain due to complications from childhood polio.

It is a true honor and joy to be an ambassador for his work, sharing his deserved legacy as man and painter as we lovingly begin to small-batch release his paintings for purchase.
